It is the policy of Edward Leske Company that everything possible will be done to protect personnel from accidents,injuries and or occupational disease while on the job. Safety is a cooperative effort requiring a safety consciousness by every employee. Each employee is to familiarize himself with and follow all safety and health rules and regulations.
Training is required for both supervision and employees. The content of each training session will vary, but each session will attempt to teach the following:
| Each employee will learn when personal protective equipment is required or necessary, and how to use and maintain the equipment in good condition. |
| Each employee will learn what to do in case of an emergency occurring in the workplace. |
| Each supervisor will review the safe work procedures. |
| No employee should undertake a job that is unsafe. |
| No employee is expected to undertake a job until he\she has received adequate safety instructions, and is authorized to do the task. |
| No employee should use chemicals
without fully understanding their toxic properties and without the knowledge required to
work with these chemicals safely.
